BPsySc(Hons) MPsych(Clin)
I’m here to offer a safe, supportive, and understanding space where we can work together to help you feel more connected to yourself and navigate life’s challenges. My goal is to help you gain a deeper understanding of your experiences and move towards greater mental wellbeing and a more fulfilling life.
I take a trauma-informed approach and use a mix of evidence-based therapies, including Schema Therapy, EMDR, ACT, Mindfulness, and CBT, tailoring the process to what works best for you.
I’m a board-endorsed Clinical Psychologist with experience in both public and private sectors, and I’m a registered Medicare provider. Please note, I don’t work with third-party referrals (like WorkCover or TAC) and don’t provide court reports.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me hanging out with my dog, doing Pilates, traveling, reading, or getting stuck into some knitting.
I look forward to connecting with you.
It is normal to feel a little nervous before your first appointment. When seeing a psychologist, you can expect a safe, supportive, and confidential space to discuss your thoughts, feelings, and challenges.
Prior to your first session, I will email you some information about Sana Psychology, along with a link to complete an intake form, which includes a consent form, and important information about fees, confidentiality, and the privacy policy. You will also be asked to provide contact, medicare and payment details.
For the most efficient and effective treatment, the first 1 or 2 sessions generally involves a detailed assessment of your current situation, personal history and goals for therapy. You can also ask me any questions that you may have about how sessions will work. There is often a lot to cover, but most individuals find this process to be a helpful first step. It's a chance to share your story at your own pace and start planning how to move forward.
Each session will run for 50 minutes. Frequency of sessions will be discussed in the first session to best fit your needs.
"Therapy is a collaborative journey. Both therapist and client are travellers discovering new landscapes of the self."
